The Open is a three week international competition where anyone regardless of fitness level or ability can compete in the world’s largest participatory sport event in history.


What are the workouts?

Each week beginning on February 16th there will be a workout announced live online( at 3pmEST.  Athletes have to perform the workouts and submit scores online by 2pm the following Monday.


Where/when do I do the workout? 

At CFHK the best chance to perform these workouts will be at our Saturday morning throw downs(Feb 18th, Feb 25th, March 4th) beginning at 9am.  We will post Saturday heat times in Zen Planner by Thursday evening at 5pm for you to sign up to complete workout each week.


Where do I sign up?  Create a profile if you don’t already have one.  It is $20 to sign up and your fee goes directly to CrossFit HQ.


Why Should I do the Open?

It is a fun challenge each year that brings the community together.  You do not have to be in your peak physical condition to participate!  No one is ever “ready” enough for the Open.  You have to start somewhere and trust us when we say you will be glad you did by the time week 3 is over.  If you have been coming to class at CFHK you have been preparing for this anyways, so why not take the challenge!  Last year we added the intramurals teams which will add extra fun twists to the season so JOIN IN!
