    About Fritz Chatelier

    I began my CrossFit experience while serving on active duty in the United States Army. Prior to CrossFit I would spend hours in the gym but never felt strong; that all changed when I was introduced to Crossfit in May 2009. The whole concept or working out half the time and becoming stronger or fitter is what made CrossFit a passion of mine. CrossFit will push you to the limits or your ability both physically and mentally but you will be a better person for it. My 19+ years of military leadership and his 6 years of training and competeting at various local CrossFit competitions, created a CrossFit Coach whose about standards, creating athletes and future Crossfit Coaches.

    About Katie Cain

    Katie Cain is the co-owner of CrossFit Hard Knox, A CrossFit Level 1 trainer, and CrossFit Kids trainer. She started CrossFit in February of 2014 and immediately fell in love. She has been a life long fitness lover starting with softball at age 4 and playing through high school. After high school she found a love of running and competed in many 5k & mini marathon races. Katie has a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. She worked as a nurse for 6 years; one year as a med/surg RN and 5 as a Labor and Delivery RNC. She is now living her dream as a full time mom and CrossFit trainer. She has two children, Jacie and Alice. She continued CrossFit during her entire last pregnancy. Katie truly believes in the power of CrossFit to not only improve your body, but your mind, spirit, and every other aspect of your life.

    About Adam Farmer

    Born and raised in Oklahoma, I grew up playing sports and knowing what hard work was. Joined the Army, Infantry, after a short stent in college. I am married to my love and best friend and a father of three beautiful girls. A little over four years ago I had lost a lot of my drive and motivation and let myself fall out of shape. I was just over 230 pounds with constant back on knee pain. Enter, CrossFit. I was immediately hooked! Fast forward to now and I have subsequently shed that extra 50 pounds. I knew I wanted to share what I have experienced with as many people as possible. So I set a goal to one day become a Coach and share my passion with others. Now that I am a Coach here at Hard Knox I absolutely love what I do and the impact we have on so many of our Athletes. Watching someone get their first rope climb, string together their first set of Double Unders, or any other before thought impossible feat, is much more satisfying than any of my own PR’s.

    Jose Gonzalez

    About Jose Gonzalez

    Jose Gonzalez is currently the Strongman/woman coach (Vodi Strength Milita). He started his athletic career at the age of 10 wrestling in Miami, Fl. Jose wrestled through his senior year of high school becoming both state and national champion for individual and team event. He continued to compete after his days of high school in a Semi Pro football league with the Fort Lauderdale Cardinals as the starting running back, where he accumulated over 2300 rushing yards in 2 seasons. Jose found his way into crossfit in 2012 at Crossfit Hardknox and met Whitney Boyd which coached him to several podiums in both crossfit and strongman and also qualified for nationals in 2014 and 2015. Currently Vodi Strength Militia has one of the best and strongest competitors in the state of Kentucky.
